Are you passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference for students? Nelson Central School is seeking a dedicated learning support coordinator (LSC) to suppport our amazing team and help drive effective learning support across our school.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate and enhance learning support for students with diverse needs

  • Work closely with teachers, whānau, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students

  • Provide expertise in inclusive practices, student wellbeing, and neurodiversity

  • Champion a collaborative and responsive approach to learning support

Our Learning Support Coordinator will be a registered teacher with a current teaching practising certificate and relevant teaching qualification, and have demonstrated:

  • successful experience in working with and including children and young people with learning support needs in the classroom

  • an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with parents, whanau and communities

  • an ability to engageand influence at a school or kura leadership level

  • an ability to provide culturally responsive support that protects the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
