Are you passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference for students? Nelson Central School is seeking a dedicated learning support coordinator (LSC) to suppport our amazing team and help drive effective learning support across our school.
In this role you will:
Coordinate and enhance learning support for students with diverse needs
Work closely with teachers, whānau, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students
Provide expertise in inclusive practices, student wellbeing, and neurodiversity
Champion a collaborative and responsive approach to learning support
Our Learning Support Coordinator will be a registered teacher with a current teaching practising certificate and relevant teaching qualification, and have demonstrated:
successful experience in working with and including children and young people with learning support needs in the classroom
an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with parents, whanau and communities
an ability to engageand influence at a school or kura leadership level
an ability to provide culturally responsive support that protects the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
